### You can now download VIA from the App Store and Google Play

After years of building, learning, and generous participation, VIA is now publicly available.

You can download it today:

[**Download VIA from the Apple App Store**](https://apps.apple.com/app/id6795091714?ref=updates.discipleone.life)

[**Download VIA from Google Play**](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=life.viaapp.app&ref=updates.discipleone.life)

VIA is free and designed to help people engage Scripture, build healthy spiritual rhythms, and grow alongside others.

For a long time, I have been talking about what we are building.

Now you can experience it for yourself.

## A Significant Moment

There is something a little strange about seeing years of work reduced to two download buttons.

VIA began as an idea for a discipleship book. That idea grew into a nonprofit ministry, a team of generous and talented contributors, and eventually an app.

Along the way, I met [Abdalkader Alhamoud](https://www.linkedin.com/in/abdalkaderdev/L?ref=updates.discipleone.life), who prefers to go by Abd and now serves as VIA’s lead engineer.

Abd has given an extraordinary amount of time, care, and dedication to this launch. I’m grateful to have worked side by side with him as we took VIA from a vision and a clickable prototype to an app people can now use.

Many others have contributed code, design, ministry perspective, testing, encouragement, relationships, prayer, and financial support. There have been many decisions, many conversations, and more than a few things we have had to learn along the way.

I still find this amazing:

Someone can now open the App Store or Google Play, search for VIA, and begin using it.

This moment feels significant to us.

Not because releasing an app is the finish line. It is not.

It is significant because VIA is no longer only something we are describing, developing, or hoping to release. It is now a tool that people can put into everyday practice.

## What You’ll Find in VIA

VIA is Scripture-centered and designed for reflection, response, and relational formation.

Inside VIA, you can:

- Spend meaningful time with God and His Word
- Use Bible reading plans, Scripture memory, guided reflection, and personalized Quiet Times
- Build healthy spiritual rhythms without turning spiritual growth into guilt or performance
- Connect with a Disciple Partner and grow alongside someone else

The purpose is not simply to complete activities.

The purpose is to create space for God to use Scripture, the work of the Holy Spirit, and relationships with other believers to form us over time.

Faith was never intended to be a solo experience.

## This Is Progress, Not the Finish Line

Releasing VIA is an important milestone, but we are still early in the journey.

There is more to build. There are experiences we want to improve, new capabilities already being developed, and much we expect to learn from the people who begin using VIA.

The larger vision of Disciple One also extends beyond the app. We believe the local church is the primary vehicle for disciple-making, and we want to equip churches to support everyday spiritual formation more intentionally.

VIA is the first public expression of that mission.

It is not the whole mission.

## You Can Help Shape What Comes Next

There are three simple ways you can participate right now.

### Try it

Download VIA and spend some time exploring it. Begin a Quiet Time, try a reading plan, or invite someone you trust to become a Disciple Partner.

### Help us improve it

As you use VIA, tell us what is helpful, what is confusing, and what could be better. We are building this for real people living real lives, and your experience can help shape what comes next.

### Spread it

Send VIA to one person who wants to grow in their relationship with God, engage more deeply with Scripture, or walk alongside another believer.

This release was made possible by people who brought what they already had to give.

That same spirit of participation will help carry the mission forward.

If you would like to talk about VIA, Disciple One, or how you might participate in the mission, I would genuinely enjoy connecting with you.
