What is VIA?
VIA is an app designed to help people grow in their relationship with God.
The name VIA simply means "the way" or "the path." In English, we use the word when we describe how we're getting somewhere. For instance, "I'm getting to Los Angeles via the Pacific Coast Highway." That's exactly what VIA is meant to be: a path that helps us journey toward spiritual growth.
If you've ever wanted to spend more time with God but found it difficult to stay consistent, you're not alone. Many of us have started a Bible reading plan with the best of intentions, only to fall behind and feel like we have to start all over again.
We wanted to take a different approach.
Instead of asking, "Are you keeping up with your plan?" VIA simply asks, "How do you want to spend time with God today?"
Some days that might be reading Scripture. Other days it might be studying a passage more deeply, memorizing a verse, spending time in prayer, worshiping, or quietly meditating on God's Word. We believe all of these are valuable ways of drawing closer to God, and VIA is designed to encourage each of them.
As you continue your journey, VIA helps you notice the progress you're making. Sometimes we're growing more than we realize, and it's encouraging to look back and see how God has been at work over time. VIA also connects you with a Disciple Partner, someone you invite to walk alongside you, encourage you, and grow with you. We don't believe faith was ever meant to be a solo journey.
We believe people grow as they consistently spend time with God, engage His Word, and walk alongside others who are pursuing Him too. That's the heart behind VIA. It's why we're building it.
Disciple One exists to help churches become more effective at making disciples. VIA is one way we're working toward that mission.
If that vision resonates with you, we'd love to hear from you. Send us a message at hello@discipleone.life and ask how you can get involved.
